DITA ANGELES:

​

(b.1982, New Zealand) With a strong background in portraiture, social presentation, perception, and persuasion are the dominant themes which run throughout Angeles' works, paying close attention to behaviour, ego, identity, and anonymity. Inspired by existential philosophies, with reference to 20th century aesthetics, her paintings depict social issues and personal moments which incorporate the spectacle of contemporary media and culture.
